The island of KRK is situated in the Kvarner Bay and with its area of 409.9 km2 it's the largest island in the Adriatic. Because of the location, the island of Krk has a mild Mediterranean climate, which offers warm and sunny summers, pleasant spring, a mild winter and a warm and rainy autumn. It is connected via the Bridge of Krk to the mainland. The island has its own airport.
